Video Category

You can categorize your video collections into movie, TV show, home video, and TV recording as shown on the left panel of Video Station. You can browse videos of each category by different classifications, and manage your videos by adding them to favorites or watchlist for quick access.

Before organizing your video files, you need to create video folders for each genre.

Create Video Folders

Video folders for movie, TV show, home video, and TV recording need to be created to store your videos first before you can manage files with Video Station.

To create video folders:

  1. Select any video tab on the left panel, and go to Settings > Video Folder (for movie/TV show/home video) or Settings > TV Recording (for TV recording).

Note: If this is your first time using Video Station, a prompt will appear taking you to the setup page once the application is launched. Click OK to continue.

  2. Depending on which type of video folder you want to create, do the following:
  3. For movie/TV show/home video, select which type of video you want to place in the folder. A folder can contain only one video type, but multiple folders can be created to contain videos of the same kind. Once a folder is selected, neither the folder nor its sub-folders can be selected to store any type of video.
  4. Click OK.

To edit or delete video folders (not applicable to the TV recording folder):

  1. Select any video tab on the left panel, and go to Settings > Video Folder.
  2. Select the folder you want to edit or delete from the list, and click Edit or Delete. Press and hold Ctrl or Shift for multiple selections if you want to delete several folders at a time.
  3. Depending on which mode you have chosen, do the following:
  4. Click OK to save the changes.
