Restore

Go to Backup & Replication > Restore to restore backup data.

To restore a backup task:

  1. Select a backup task and then click Restore. If the task is multi-version backup, please select Restore > Entire task.
  2. You may be prompted to select system configuration, different versions of backup data, or more. It depends on whether this is a data backup task, LUN backup task*, single-version backup destination (i.e. shared folder), or multi-version backup destination (i.e. volume).
  3. Follow the wizard to complete the setup.

To restore a single file or folder for multi-version backup task:

  1. Launch File Version Browser. You can do this with either of the methods below:
  2. You can browse the versions of a file or folder you want by using the timeline or the calendar icon on the bottom of the screen.
  3. Select the version you want to manage and click the Restore.
  4. Alternatively, you can copy a file or folder to another location, or download it using the Copy to... or Download button.
  5. You can also right click on the file or folder and select these options from the drop down menu.

To search for a specific version:

  1. Click the arrow in the filter bar on the top right hand corner.
  2. In the drop down menu, you can filter files by:
  3. To apply your filters, click Filter.
  4. To reset your filtered search, click the Reset button.

Note:

To restore backup tasks from other backup destination:

  1. Click Restore from....
  2. Choose any of the following to locate the backup task, and click Next:
  3. When prompted, select the source where the backup task is kept, and then select the destination to restore the data.
  4. Follow the wizard to complete.
